The barks of italian conifers, adequately sprinkled in the garden beds, under the bushes and at the base of the fruit trees, act as a natural non-polluting herbicide, reducing the growth of wild herbs and weeds, and exerting an effective thermal insulation action, protecting the soil and the roots from the sun's rays in summer and from frost in winter. Over time they transform into an excellent organic, natural and non-polluting fertilizer, given by their slow decomposition which lasts 1/2 years
