Gerbera is very popular and widely used as an ornamental garden plant or as a cut flower. The stem resembles a sunflower in shape, with a round center, surrounded by flat petals. The center can be decorated or basic in a contrasting color to the surrounding petals. Gerbera is probably the second most popular cut flower after roses. It is available all year round in almost every color of the rainbow in both regular Gerbera and mini-Gerbera. It is attractive to bees, butterflies and birds.
