Plant in a reliably sunny spot, best in fertile, well drained soil. Keep well watered during hot weather, watering 2 – 3 times per week until established. If pruning is needed, do it after the fruiting period has ended. Each stem, or cane, produces juicy fruits in its second year. Fertilize the plant with a slow release feed in spring. May be stored one to two days in the refrigerator, but are easy to freeze and store for use later, if desired.
