Geotextiles are commonly used to improve the lands on which roads, embankments, pipelines, and earth-supporting structures are built. Geotextiles are permeable fabrics which, when used in the soil, have the ability to separate, filter, reinforce, protect and drain. Currently used in many civil engineering applications.
